Eloise Collins

Eloise is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Christian Life Coach who specializes in working with children and adolescents. It is not easy being able to work with children because they are too vulnerable and also sometimes difficult to handle. She earned her BA in Psychology from Nicholls State University and MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Her education has played a major role in making her such an amazing person who she is today.

All of the hardships, struggles, and lessons in her life combined have molded her to be a strong woman who is not only impossible to break but also too hard to fool. Now, she is an aspiring personality for thousands of people and she is influencing the lives of many people. She is not only urging them to take a stand for themselves but motivating them to take the first step and start the cycle of change. She believes nothing is impossible, everything can be done if you put your mind to it. Eloise focuses on studying behavioral problems in children since it makes parenting challenges less of a problem for every new couple.

Eloise utilizes the Love and Logic evidence base parenting program to assist In reinforcing the skills needed to parent effectively, using empathy.

It is her firm belief that if children are disciplined properly, then most of the behavioral problems in children can be solved without many concerns. Her experience as a  provisional licensed professional counselor has helped countless couples in coping up with parenting challenges. A new couple with their first child may face problems in raising them for having zero to none experience, Eloise is there to help them all through her experience of being a professional. Along with being a licensed professional, she is also a certified Advanced Christian Life Coach through Light University and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). She is the founder and President of a local nonprofit organization (providing housing assistance, safety, and security to aged-out foster care youth). An inspiration, an ideal personality, and an aspiring life coach. These are the terms which truly define Eloise Collins. Her book has summed up major aspects of her life and what she wishes to teach the readers. Services Offered and Clients Served:

Eloise approaches the counseling process from a Christian cognitive behavioral perspective, where patterns of irrational beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors are explored to assist in gathering the key understanding of mental health and mental illness— in order to better understand and serve the clients. Eloise views clients as persons and not their as their diagnosis. She provides an environment in which empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuiness are present. The clients’ presenting problems are explored, in order to better understand them and together develop effective solutions towards achieving their goals and objectives.  Additionally, choice theory is implemented when indicated. Eloise works with clients in a variety of formats including individually, as a couple, and as a family. She sees clients of all ages- minimum age of 5.  She provides services to all English speaking clients of all backgrounds.

Code of Conduct:

As a LPC, She is required by law to adhere to the Code of Conduct for practice as a LPC that has been adopted by the licensing board, the Louisiana LPC Board of Examiners.  A copy of this Code of Conduct is available to you upon request.

Area of Focus:

Eloise focuses on the counseling of individuals, couples, and families. Within this framework, she often works in the areas of dysfunctional families, individuals who are struggling to manage aggressive, angry, depressive, and anxious behaviors.  Areas of focus include general counseling. She is experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults. A variety of issues are addressed throughout counseling, including, but not limited to, communication skills, anger management, suicidal ideation, and mood and anxiety disorders.
